Our story and vision

We seek to restore and protect our part of the Loita–Greater Mara landscape while creating sustainable opportunities for the people who depend on it.

Our vision

A thriving landscape where wildlife, nature and communities prosper together.

Where we are

Oletukat is located along the Ewaso Ng'iro River in the Loita–Mosiro area of Narok County, about 20 km from Narok town. It lies within the wider Greater Mara ecosystem, in a scenic landscape of riverine forest, open grassland and surrounding pastoral land. Most neighboring community members live on the plateau above the river valley.

How we work

We are working to protect wildlife, restore degraded land and improve opportunities for neighboring communities. Our approach brings together conservation, livestock management, tourism and community support, with the aim of building a conservancy that can sustain its activities over time.

Established in 2021, Oletukat is one of the youngest conservancies in Kenya.
